The Dublin Brain Tumour Support Group was founded in may 1990 by a small group of patients and their families. It is a voluntary community based support group.
The Dublin support group caters for adults and young adults who have an association with someone with a brain tumour including patients, carers and their relatives.
The Dublin Brain Tumour Support Group is open to people with both benign and malignant brain tumours. It is facilitated by social workers and radiotherapists with guest speakers including dieticians, physiotherapists, nurses, psychologists and complementary therapists.
The primary aim of the Dublin Brain Tumour Support Group is to provide support and information to people with brain tumours and their families while allowing for the sharing of common experiences in a relaxed and informal setting.
